Issues
I will put our students' education first. The school board must work with teachers, staff, parents, and students to find solutions, not against them, and collaborate to prevent the threat of delays to the school year.
The school board must ensure every young person finds a welcoming environment when they step through the school doors. This includes support for their mental health and emotional well-being, so they can focus on learning and growing.
The school board must ensure that all kids can thrive. We need to expand apprenticeship programs and partnerships with local industries and trades to show our students the different pathways open to them after high school.
The school board must be transparent. I will be open and available to parents, students, and the entire North Thurston community.
Our kids deserve equal access to equitable education. That includes accurate, true, complete, and uncensored histories and stories that kids can relate to their own lives.
I will always take a firm stand against racism and injustice.
