I’m running for Thurston County Commissioner because our community deserves leadership that is steady, effective, and humble — leadership that listens carefully and works collaboratively to solve real problems.
As a current North Thurston Public Schools Board Director, I’ve had the privilege of serving one of the most diverse and fastest-growing communities in our county. In that role, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges families are facing: the rising cost of living, access to healthcare, affordable housing, public safety, and the need to protect the environment that makes Thurston County such a special place to live.
These challenges are deeply connected. When families are struggling with housing or healthcare, it affects children in our classrooms, workers in our local economy, and the overall health of our community.
Throughout my time on the school board, I’ve worked to bring people together — educators, families, community organizations, and local leaders —to find solutions that serve everyone. I believe that same collaborative approach is exactly what we need at the county level.
We deserve leaders who stay focused on the issues, who don’t pretend to have all the answers, and who remember that public service is about people — not personal agendas.
Thurston County is growing and changing, and our leadership must rise to meet this moment. I’m running to help ensure that our county remains a place where families can thrive, communities are heard, and progress is built through partnership and shared responsibility.
